Looking after it

Silk flowers, so there's no watering and nothing to wilt. A shake and a dust now and again is the whole job.

Hang it somewhere sheltered — under a porch or an overhang, out of full sun — and it'll come back out looking the same year after year.
The detail

About this one

Autumn, more or less exactly. Cream sunflowers and burgundy dahlias against deep plum leaves and fresh green fern, with russet zinnias, a few small red apples and a pine cone tucked in where you wouldn't expect it. Finished on white willow with a burgundy ribbon.

It goes up in September and still looks right at Hallowe'en, which is more than can be said for most seasonal things.

About 40 cm across, on a white willow base.
